《Tidal Reverie
— where tides, memory, and light fold into form.
Maison ACME

Exhibition Background
Tidal Reverie expands the brand’s ongoing exploration of light, tide, and the delicate distance between the body and its surrounding environment. Presented inside the historic Yuanshan Biedi house, the exhibition reconstructs the textures and memories of the sea through garments, installations, and moving images.
Collaboration with Illustrator Xia Xian
The exhibition continues a cross-disciplinary collaboration with illustrator Xia Xian, weaving together shared motifs of ocean and sunlight. Through garments, hand-woven elements, textile manipulation, and illustration, the two artists create a fluid narrative space that expresses a gentle, living connection between humans and nature.
Series Concept
Tidal Reverie draws inspiration from coastlines, shifting tides, and luminous, wet surfaces. Through pleats, layered constructions, and semi-transparent forms, the garments portray the body drifting between light and shadow.
The works function not merely as clothing, but as fragments of a body reshaped by the sea—soft, rising, and guided by quiet direction.
Spatial Atmosphere of Yuanshan Biedi
Yuanshan Biedi retains architectural details from the Japanese colonial era—wooden frames, softened daylight, and a palpable sense of time. Within this environment, the garments interact intimately with the space:
-Light washes across white and blue pieces like tides reaching the shore.
-Crocheted, net-like installations suspended in the glass room resemble tidal traces.
-Darker interior rooms become pockets of memory, guiding visitors through stillness and motion.
The exhibition forms a quiet yet continuous flow, weaving history, nature, and the human body into a shared reverie.
