Forms Between Light
Between light and shadow, between body and fabric, between being clothed and unclothed, there exists a subtle, almost imperceptible “form between”. This season, TANGTSUNGCHIEN’s SS26 menswear collection explores the coexistence of form and airthrough perforated mesh, flocking, and delicate jacquard fabrics. Garments are no longer merely coverings—they become mediums that allow skin and air, structure and softness to exist together, light yet resolute.
The material language of this collection draws inspiration from the chuanghua 窗花 (Taiwanese window grilles)—those geometric patterns carved into iron and wood window frames that let in air and light while maintaining the boundary between inside and out. Patchwork techniques using various mesh fabrics symbolize the mending of fragmented memories, transforming garments into architectures that breathe. Every panel of fabric resembles a miniature lattice window, creating poetic structures between skin and air.
The collection begins with the idea of emptiness within architecture, blurring the boundaries between body and space, interior and exterior. Long shirts, deconstructed suits, airy short-sleeved tops, and softly tailored trousers reconstruct the wearer’s relationship with the world through layered forms. Some pieces retain structural lines, while others allow the body to move freely, like air passing through a window grille.
在光與影之間,在身體與布料之間,存在一種微妙且幾乎難以察覺的「透間之形」。TANGTSUNGCHIEN 2026 春夏男裝系列,以鏤空網布、植絨與細緻提花布料為媒介,探索形體與空氣共存的可能。服裝不再只是覆蓋身體的工具,而是讓肌膚與空氣、結構與柔軟並存的載體,輕盈卻堅定。
本季的材質語言,靈感來自台灣鐵窗上的幾何圖騰,既能引入光與風,也維持著內外之間的邊界。透過各式網布的拼接技法,象徵修補片段記憶,將衣物轉化為會呼吸的建築。每一片布料都如同一扇微型窗櫺,在肌膚與空氣之間構築出詩意結構。
本系列以建築中的「空」為起點,模糊身體與空間、內與外的界線。長版襯衫、解構式西裝、通透的短袖上衣與柔和剪裁的長褲,以層疊的造型重建穿著者與世界的關係。有些單品保留明確的結構線條,有些則讓身體自由流動,如空氣穿過窗花之間的縫隙。
